Ana Pšihistal has MA in Primary Education and she obtained the qualification of university specialist in art therapy at the Postmaster University Study of Creative Therapy in Osijek, specializing in art therapy at the Academy of Arts and Culture and the Medical Faculty in Osijek in collaboration with George Washington University in the USA.  She is employed full-time at the "Grigor Vitez" Elementary School in Osijek.

Ana is engaged in promoting the socialization and sensorimotor development of children with intellectual difficulties, as well as researching the application of art therapy content for educational purposes.  She applies art therapy in clinical work with the following populations:

• Children with developmental difficulties

• Children and youth with emotional difficulties

• Students under stress

• High school students with emotional difficulties, behavioral problems, and gender identity issues

• High school students who have experienced trauma

• Educators and teachers under stress

• Persons with disabilities

• Individuals who have experienced trauma

• Veterans suffering from PTSD

• Family members of veterans and civilian war victims

• Elderly individuals

• Prenatal therapy

 

She is part of the therapeutic team at the Clinic of Creative Therapies. She has participated in numerous art colonies in Baranja, as well as humanitarian exhibitions and workshops.
